From darkness to the light that empowers us to commit ourselves to good deeds, that brings us closer to divinity; lights illuminate every corner of India during Diwali and the scent of incense sticks hang in the air, mingled with the sounds of fire-crackers, joy, togetherness and hope.
Rotary School celebrated the Festival of Lights with Diwali Fair. There were stalls of lanterns, Diya ,Rangoli and more which were prepared by students. Students prepared fort and decorated it. It was wonderful to see everyone looking bright and colourful in traditional Indian clothes. Students brought sweets and distributed among them.
It is rightly said “Today’s Science is tomorrow’s technology”. The Science department, at Rotary English Medium School Khed, worked on these lines to put up an exhibition themed “Science Fair -Technology & Robotics”, on Saturday, 27th October, 2018.
Principal Mrs. Bhumita Patel and the Chief guest Mr.Sanjay Bhave, Mr.Madhav Bhandare, Mrs.Sangeeta Otari, Mrs.Sharmila Dhuri inaugurated the event by cutting the ribbon and lighting the traditional lamp. Anish Sadvilkar ,Tanishka Bhosale Shrihari Damale & Dhanashree Gavankar welcomed the Chief Guest.
The exhibits spanned all the branches of Science-i.e, Biology, Chemistry ,Physics, Robotics & Technology. There were number of still and working models on rain water harvesting , composting and recycling of waste material, Solar City, Hydraulic JCB and bridge etc.
This exhibition, not only honed the communication skills of students, but also polished their skills in technology and was a step forward towards their all round development.
The students of Rotary English Medium School had come together to celebrate Dussera by dancing on the beats of Dandiya and Garba songs on 17th October, 2018. Dussera is celebrated to depict good over evil. Dandiya and Garba are dance forms traditionally performed only in the state of Gujarat but now it is performed all over India. The students of Rotary School were dressed up in traditional clothes. The songs of Dandiya and Garba were put for the students and along with the teachers to sway with the rhythm of the music.
The students of Rotary English Medium School celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with great pomp and gaiety. Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Ganesha, the son of Lord Shiva and Parvati. The festival is also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi or Ganeshotsav.
The session started with a traditional lamp lighting and aarthi. The Principal Mrs.Bhumita Patel said that one should not forget the culture, tradition and importance of celebrating festivals. The Chairman, Mr.Bipin Patne graced the occasion.
Rotary English Medium School Khed celebrated Teachers day on 5th September, 2017. The program started at 8 AM in the morning. The celebration was held in assembly hall.
Students expressed their gratitude and appreciation for their teachers on this day. A special morning assembly was held in which the students paid due respect to their teachers through poems and letters. Students apply "Tilak" on the forehead of all teacher. Mr. Oak Sir has delivered speech on this occasion. The Principal, Mrs. Bhumita Patel , addressing the entire school, lauded the entire staff for their exemplary contribution to the school’s phenomenal success.
Friday, 1st of September was a fun filled day for children at Rotary School. Janmashtami was celebrated at School. Children came in various attires of Lord Krishna and Radha. The children enjoyed the festival. It was time for the Dahi Handi celebration.
The team at Rotary School created a party ambience in the school – with attractive pots (हंडी) and a music system to drive the rhythm. The whole school got to celebrate Dahi Handi – right from our toddlers to our grown up children.
The children got to experience what it takes to create a human pyramid – a thing which they hear about often in stories. They found out that it doesn’t only take physical strength to make and climb a pyramid, but also takes some level of planning.
Our little children couldn’t form their own pyramid, so they got some staff members to help them. But it wasn’t all that easy for them either. Our team also increased a difficulty level of each age bracket, by increasing the height of the handi! Instead of the traditional yogurt, we put in popped rice (लाह्या) – that made the Handi easy to handle.
At Rotary School, we strive to create great memories for children. Events like these form a part of the chain of memories which students cherish for life…
Rotary English Medium School celebrated Rakshabandhan a day before Rakshabandhan festival, marked by usual fervor and gaiety that one associates with this auspicious occasion. Students were familiarized with the customs and rituals followed on Raksha Bandhan. Girls tied Rakhi on the wrist of boys. Students showed keen interest in the occasion and beautiful environment was made full of joy and love.
The function started with interactive session with the school children and teachers about the background and importance of Raksha Bandhan.
The students were explained the importance of the festival which strengthens the ties between brothers and sisters. Sweets were distributed among the students.
Students made Rakhis in school and were told about the sacred bond between a brother and sister and as to how Rakhi symbolizes the sister’s love and prayers for the brother’s well-being and his lifelong vow to protect her. Rotary English Medium School which believes that celebration of festivals in schools is necessary. It was grand event conducted by school.
Mathematics Exhibition was held at Rotary English MediumSchool, Khed Ratnagiri. It started from 9.00 am to 12.30 pm. Students enthusiastically participated in the Exhibition and made wonderful, amazing models on various topics. The students made different models both still as well as working models.
Students of classes I to X participated and each class presented and explained the models made by them on different topics. It was clear children enthusiastically researched and were keenly took part in the Exhibition, the work presented by them in the form of models were monitored and made under the guidance of their teachers.
Students of all classes were accompanied by the teachers and took rounds in order to appreciate the hard work put in by their fellow friends.
Appreciation was observed when students spoke and explained their models in detail.
Teachers of other departments took part and asked questions where children got an opportunity to communicate their thoughts.
It was indeed an exhibition which gave them exposure and confidence to present their thoughts and mind.
The Head of the Maths Department Mr. Devlekar Shailesh actively participated and ensured that arrangements were taken care of. The Principal Mrs. Patel Bhumita encouraged the students with their presence.
Every citizen of India is well aware that 15th August is the day when India got its independence from British rule to become a free country. The day is celebrated all over in unity with great patriotism. Today Rotary English Medium School celebrated India’s 72nd Independence Day at the School Grounds at 7:45 am. The anchors for the day – Ahil Parkar of class IX B welcomed the SMC Chairman Rtn .Bhosale, The Principal Mrs. Bhumita Patel honoured all Member of Management Committee with flower and book as a token of love.
Hon. Ajit Bhosale hoisted the national flag along with the dignitaries.The School Choir enhanced the spirit of patriotism by singing a couple of patriotic songs. Students delivered speeches in different languages like , Marathi, Hindi, English etc.
The main attraction of the day was ‘Robotic Presentation’ has been done by students and Mrs Tanuja madam.
The Programme concluded up with the Vote of thanks by Aahil Parkar of class IX B. At the end sweets were distributed to the students.
“Market Day” at Rotary School gave a fillip to the sense of buying and selling among the children. Over a period of one week , children painstakingly made a lot of artefacts which they put up for sale in the their school market. Also on sale were foodies specially prepared by the children with the help of their parents. Excitement was high on the children’s faces as their products were being bought. The proceeds of the sale will be given to teachers ,students & Parents.
Since its inception in the year 2015, June 21st is celebrated as The International Day of Yoga all over the world. This idea was proposed by our Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi. He said, “Yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfillment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well-being. It is not about exercise but to discover the sense of oneness with yourself, the world and the nature. By changing our lifestyle and creating consciousness, it can help in well being.”
International Yoga Day was celebrated by the students and teachers at Rotary English Medium School with great enthusiasm. Students of grade I to XII demonstrated various asanas followed by Omkar chanting. Warm up exercises were taken and all the students performed sitting and standing asanas, importance of these were explained simultaneously. The celebration concluded with synchronized recitation of shlokas and speech by our Principal. She encouraged students to practice regular yoga to remain fit and improve concentration.
Regular practice of yoga will surely help our students achieve a better life, physically, mentally and spiritually as well.
Annual function is the most important event in the school calendar. On 7th April ,8th April & 9th April the foundation day of the school, our school organized the annual function in the school playground.
Our Students of class X started the program by welcoming chief guest, the Guardian minister of Maharashtra , and others. Principal Madam discussed the result of this year. She congratulated toppers of Class X and XII. She informed that our school also won awards in many extra curriculum activities. She invited the chief guest to distribute prizes among winners. Chief Guest also addressed the audience. He praised the performance of our school.
Many students performed on the stage. Most of the programs were inspired by our culture, moral education, films, and nationalism. This added the all new height to the function.
Finally the program ended with vote of thanks.
Best wishes program was organised for the outgoing batch of Class X and Class XII on February 24, 2018.
It was a moment of reliving the good memories they had of the school and their companions and teachers. Students of both the classes expressed their memories of last ten years. Class teachers and subject teachers of Class X & XII shared their experiences with the students and wished them well in their future career.
The principal Mrs.Bhumita Patel gave a final message to the classes X and XII by giving out mementos that would remind them of their school. This was followed by snacks for the students of classes X and XII and teachers.
This year too, Rotary English Medium School took up the initiative to bring forward the grandeur of the great Maratha visionary, who dreamed of “SWARAJ” long before the actual independence struggle began. “SHIVAJI MAHARAJ JAYANTI” birth anniversary of Shivaji Maharaj was celebrated with traditional fervour in School on 19th February at 8:00a.m. The Principal Mrs.Bhumita Patel garlanded the statue of Shivaji Maharaj
The school Teacher Mrs.Priyanka Kokate delivered a speech to students during assembly, which emphasised on the life of Shivaji Maharaj and his great achievements.
Rotary English Medium School celebrated Matru Pitru Diwas on 14th February 2018 with great enthusiasm.The aim behind the celebration of this day was to inculcate respect in the students for their parents. Students did aarati of their respective parents and express their views towards their parents.The day was filled with emotions.
Enact & Role-play activity was conducted on 3rd February 2018 in Rotary English Medium School. Students from classes I to IV actively participated in this activity. They took part in dramas and songs. Dr. Upendra Talathi (M.D) was the chief Guest for the programme. The other guests were Mr. Yatin Kaeyekar (actor). Pooja Nayak (actress), Chairman of school Mr. Bipin Dada Patne, trustee members Parag Chickhale and Jogesh Sadvilkar and Mr. Sachin Bhodale (Professor ICS). Mr. Mangesh Khopker and Mr. Yogesh Veer hosted the programme. Mrs Shabana Z Moosa proposed vote of thanks.Parents were also present for the programme. It was fun- filled day for all.
Prize Distribution Function was organized in Rotary English Medium School on 26/01/2018. The successful students in various fields such as Sports, Education, Cultural Programs had to be honored in the function.
Our Principal and some members of school Management welcomed them with book. The Function began with Saraswati Vandana. The Chief Guest Mr. Bhonsale and Smt. Mahuri Nagarkar and other dignitaries lit the lamp before the picture of Goddess Saraswati.. Immediately after that the Prize Distribution took place.
The Chief Guest distributed the prizes to the winners of the respective fields. They were awarded trophies and certificates for their hard work, determination and will power to attain their goals sucessfully. They delivered a very motivating speech and advised all the students to work harder in life to get sure success. They also narrated one or two incidents to inspire the students. At last vote of thanks was given by our teacher.
Rotary English Medium School celebrated 69th Republic Day with great enthusiasm on 26 January 2018. It was a matter of great pride for all of us. School Principal warmly welcomed the Chief Guest Rtn.Suresh Bhonsle(Rotary Club Of Khed), Chairman of Rotary School Mr. Bipin Dada Patne, President of Rotary club Khed Mr. Sameer Talathi & Trustee members. Our honourable guest unfurled the national flag. With that everybody stood erected for National Anthem sung by the students. Then there was parade by students of class VIII.. The celebration continued with solo and group songs, speeches in Marathi, Hindi and English languages and also Aerial Yoga and Malkham & Yoga. After the programme Jalebi was distributed. We enjoyed Republic Day with great enthusiasm

The much awaited Annual Sports Day of Rotary English Medium School Khed was celebrated on 14th December, 2017 amidst great mirth, verve and camaraderie Mr.Sadanand Kadam was the Chief Guest. The Chief Guest and the other dignitaries were welcomed with bouquets and book.
After Sarswati Poojan the students entered into the spirit of the occasion in a grand way with the oath being administered by the special guest of the day, who took the salute of the impressive March Past. A Yoga demonstration, Karate Demonstration and lazim set the tone for the rest of the event. Once the Kho-Kho Match began, the air was filled with cheering and tons of encouragement for the young players.
On 15th December 2017 and 16th December 2017, Students of classes I to IX competed class-wise in events including Running, sack races, obstacle races, Long Jump,Lemon & Spoon,Ball in Bucket, tug- of- war, Musical Chair, Dodge Ball, Langadi, Shooting, Teniquitte ,Shot-Put, Book Balance, Volley Ball.
At the end of the day, students departed with a clear smile on their faces. It was a day filled with sportsmanship, enthusiasm and memories to cherish.
The Annual Science Exhibition was held at our School on 18 and 19 November, 2017. It is organised every year with a view to encourage and inculcate a scientific temper amongst students. The students showcase their talents in Science, Mathematics.

The budding scientists of our school presented many creative ideas as exhibits. The exhibits were attractive and marvellous . There were number of still and working models on display such as clap switch,Replacement of Various Organs,Introduction of various types of cancers to bring awareness among the Society,Fish Farming Practices,Ocean Thermal Energy Powerplant,Eco friendly Ganesh Visarjan,Indian Currency,Prime numbers ,Divisiblity Model,Types of Quadrilaterals.
The Chief guest appreciated the nobel ideas of the participants. The exhibition provided a platform to scientific and mathematical experimentation and innovation to the future scientists and Mathematician. The enthusiasm and skill clubbed with in depth knowledge was commendable with an endeavour to promote scientific attitude among students the exhibition was one of its kind.At the End of the Programme Miss.Snehal Chapare and Astha Chvan expressed vote of thanks.

The day is celebrated to pay tribute to the legendary freedom fighter popularly known as cha-cha. The occasion is celebrated every year with grand splendor and fiesta. This day is commemorated with immense joy, enthusiasm and magnificence. It was a fun- filled day for the students.
Children's Day was celebrated at Rotary English Medium School with enthusiasm. It was a fun-filled day for students of Rotary School. The programme began with prayer, Speeches and tributes to Chacha Nehru. Various activities and events were organized and performed by Students. The day had the theme of love. Programmes included Children’s meet , Fun games like Balloon game ,Musical Chiar and songs. School Teacher Mr.Oak told students importance of celebrating Children’s Day.
Diwali, the festival of lights is celebrated all over India in order to welcome Lord Rama back home after his victory over Ravana. We celebrated Diwali Festival in our school today on 14/11/2017. We decorated the school with earthen lamps and Rangoli.
As a special day, Students were wearing colorful dresses. All the students of Class X had lantern making competition. Students made varieties of lanterns.
During the end of the day, sweets were distributed to the children.

On October 2nd 2017 Gandhi and Shastri Jayanti was celebrated in the school . Principal Mrs. Bhumita Patel garlanded the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi and second Prime Minister of India Sri. Lal Bahadur Shastri and addressed the children. Social Studies Teacher Mr.Oak Sir also delivered eloquent speech on this occasion. He appealed the students to come foreword to make India Clean and beautiful Country.He also Spoke about drug addiction among todays young Generation.
Oct 2nd would be the happiest day of the year for India because two of her great sons have their birthdays on that same day. Two great sons who were always simple, soft spoken & down to earth and went on to become great leaders, rescuing her from crisis of their era (Gandhi rescued from British, Shastri rescued from Food crisis) leading to victory.Gandhi showed the importance of non-violence and Shastri showed the importance of farmer.
The students of REMS (Class I to III) had come together to celebrate Dussehra by dancing on the beats of Dandia and Garba songs on 27th September 2017. An inaugural ceremony for the C.A. Foundation(CPT) was held on Saturday 16th September 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Rotary English Medium School Khed. The Program started as the chief guest and other dignitaries arrived at the School premises at 10:30 am. The Programme was started by Sarswati Poojan. Miss Shruti Nair and Miss.Kartiki Saitwdekar, Students from XI Commerce were the anchors. The guests Hon.Sandip Khochare (C.A.),Hon. Sumedh Karmarkar (C.A.),Hon.Nandkumar Patne (C.A.),Hon.Anuradha Paranjape (C.A.),Hon.Sunil Vinchu (C.A.),Hon.Vaibhav Jain (C.A.),Hon. Lele Mandar (Tax Consultant),Hon.Dhiraj Khedekar (Tax Consultant),Farheen Kazi (C.A.) were welcome with flower and book as a token of love. Introduction of Guest was done by the Students.
The program was followed by questionnaire. The Guest shared their views and guided the students with their valuable words for their future.

The students and staff of Rotary English Medium School celebrated ‘Hindi Diwas’ and on September 14 in the school with great fervour. Students performed a skit. As part of observing ‘Hindi Diwas’ to show their appreciation towards the national language the assembly was started with a speech which highlighted the importance of Hindi in the country.
Students recited many poems in Hindi and spoke on the importance of the language in the contemporary society.
Ganesh Chaturthi is a Hindu festival celebrated on the birthday (rebirth) of Lord Ganesha, the son of lord Shiva and Parvati. It is believed that lord Ganesha bestows his presence on earth for all his devotees during this festival.
Ganesha Chathurthi was Celebrated in The Rotary English Medium School on September 4, 2017. It began with a Ganesha Pooja and followed by a devotional song by students, and a recital of shlokas in Sanskrit. Some of our teachers recited Ganpati Atharvashisha . At the end, Lord Ganesha’s prasadam was distributed to all the students.

Teachers Day at Rotary English Medium School was celebrated with full zeal and enthusiasm. The day started with giving a tribute to Dr. Saravpalli Radhakrishnan. The day had an emotional and recreational touch.
The teacher’s day at my school was celebrated on 4th September, 2017. Even though it was celebrated one day before the original teacher’s day we still had the same amount of fun that we would have had on the 5th. It was a very exciting day for the students because they got to teach children of lower classes. It was a very enlightening experience for them as they got to know the trouble and the fun that teachers had while teaching children of a class. They were very happy.

Rotary English Medium School celebrated Dahi Handi on the occasion of Janmashtami. Lord Krishna was born on Janmashtami Day in the month of Shravan at midnight. This day is celebrated all over India with much festivities by fasting and praying to him. On the following day people rejoice by holding Dahi Handi and Gopal Kala function.
As Lord Krishna and his poor cowherd friends loved milk, curd and butter kept in high hung handis, two beautifully decorated handis were hung in the school Assembly Hall. A group of girls and boys were thrilled to break these handis on the feet tapping musical background. The audience too enjoyed the show. This festival taught them to be friendly.

World yoga day was celebrated at Rotary English Medium School on 21st June, 2017. Our school Principal Mrs. Bhumita Patel inaugurated the ceremony by lightening the lamp and by warshipping the ‘Aum’. The programs were handled by our yoga teacher with various yogasanas such as Pranayam, Bhasrika, Kapalbhati, Anuloma, Vilom, Bramari, Suryanamaskar.
Our school also participated in national and international competition and bought success. Yoga makes the people healthy as well as wealthy from mind.Our Students Miss.Priyanka ,Miss.Akshata & Miss.Ankita are going to represent our school in the programme Asia’s Got Talent at Singapore.
We all aware that trees are the kindest things we grow but their depleting number has become serious issue. To make student aware of this issue, on the eve of ‘Van Mahotsava’ our school takes initiative to plant the sapling in our premises every year. Tree Plantation programme was held in Rotary English Medium School for a week from 1st July 2017 to 7th July 2017. The students actively participated in this programme.
The school celebrated its 10th Anniversary with great pomp in the presence of our Chief Guest, Our Chairman Mr. Bipin Dada Patne and other trustee members.
The school has arranged Satyanarayan Pooja on that day .All the students and parents were invited for the pooja. All the staff members were present for the same.
On this day the Chief Guest Ex.IAS.Avinash Dharmadhikari felicitated the stars of class 10th and class 12th meritorious students. Miss.Saloni Joshi -1st in India and Miss. Divya Jadkar-3rd in India were honoured and praised by the Chief Guest. He motivated the students by sharing his own experiences . The students were really encouraged by his words.
